How Ukraine’s IT Sector Keeps Delivering Excellence
27. February 2025
For the past three years, Ukraine’s tech industry has faced immense challenges, yet it continues to demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and steady growth. Ukrainian tech professionals have upheld high standards, ensuring the country remains a reliable and competitive player in the global tech market. Our clients continue to experience the high level of professionalism from their IT specialists in our Lviv Tech Hub. Despite the war and more challenging living conditions, there is no drop in their quality of work or dedication from their nearshore teams in Ukraine.
Ukrainian IT: Strong, Reliable, and Growing
The latest research from Lviv IT Cluster confirms that Ukraine remains a powerhouse for technology and innovation:
- 238.000 tech specialists continue working in Ukraine
- The tech industry generated $12.74 billion in total economic impact in 2023, with $7.91 billion in direct turnover, showing its continued contribution to Ukraine’s economy
- The industry contributed $856.1 million to state revenues in 2023, marking a 12.7% increase from 2022 – evidence of ongoing growth despite the war
- Ukraine’s IT exports reached $4.8 billion in the first nine months of 2024, with balanced exports to the EU and USA, demonstrating global demand for Ukrainian expertise
These figures highlight the sector’s stability and continued impact on both the economy and technological advancement.
The war has not halted Ukraine’s ability to innovate. The tech sector remains a key driver of the economy, ranking as the second-largest export industry, after food exports. In 2023, 38% of total service exports came from IT services, highlighting Ukraine’s importance as a strong IT service exporter.
Lviv Region and Conscensia Lviv Hub
Lviv region has played a crucial role in sustaining Ukraine’s IT industry throughout the war. As a major tech hub in Western Ukraine, it has become a center for both relocation and business continuity. The region now hosts a significant portion of Ukraine’s IT workforce, with 30% of the country’s tech specialists residing in the western regions.
At Conscensia’s Lviv Tech Hub, we have built a workspace that ensures continuity for client teams while fostering stability and resilience for our colleagues. Since moving to our new, modern office in 2022, we have adapted to the challenges of wartime operations while maintaining a highly functional and resilient office. Our Lviv Tech Hub is fully equipped with Starlink internet, power generators, and alternative connectivity solutions, ensuring that our teams can continue delivering high-quality work regardless of external circumstances.

“Conscensia’s Ukrainian Tech Hub has consistently received high customer satisfaction scores, proving the reliability of local specialists. Many of our global clients have continued and even expanded their partnerships with our Ukrainian teams, acknowledging their dedication and high performance. Our latest NPS score from December 2024 was 65, reflecting the strong trust and satisfaction of our clients.”
— Iryna Kosareva, General Manager at Conscensia Ukraine
Beyond work, our Lviv Hub has also been a center of support and community. We have organized charity auctions, team gatherings, and initiatives that contribute directly to the well-being (mental and physical) of our colleagues and the broader Ukrainian society. Many of our employees are actively involved in volunteer work, supporting humanitarian and military aid efforts. Naturally, it is stressful and challenging for our colleagues to live every day in a country under attack—but from our experience, they remain committed to their work and their teams.
