15 years of excellence: Zoriana Drapaylo shares her Journey at Conscensia

At Conscensia, we are proud to recognize our long-standing team members who contribute so much to our success. We want to celebrate Zoriana Drapaylo, who has been with the company for over 15 years. Her career journey, marked by significant milestones, is a true testament to her dedication and growth.
Starting as a BI Developer
Zoriana began her journey at Conscensia long time ago as a BI Developer, working closely with her first project team for Conscensia’s first client – a Danish bank. She recalls this time as both challenging and exciting, as she honed her technical skills and learned the importance of collaboration.
Transition to Delivery Manager
One of the defining moments in her career was her transition from BI Developer to Delivery Manager. This shift required a new set of skills and a willingness to embrace change.
The only skillset I had for my new role was my team lead experience,” Zoriana explains. “It was a small but significant step toward developing my leadership expertise. I had the drive to grow, and I’m grateful for the trust and support I received from Conscensia.”
In her role as Delivery Manager, Zoriana led projects and teams across both Lviv and Warsaw, ensuring alignment with client goals and fostering strong team dynamics.

A Career Break and a Return to Leadership
After some time away from the company, Zoriana returned to Conscensia in a senior leadership role. Reflecting on her decision to come back, she shares, “The strong and trustful relationships I formed here made it an easy decision to return. This community feels like home.”
Her return marked the beginning of a new chapter as she stepped into the role of Senior Delivery Manager and became a member of the Management Group. In this role, she continues to drive success through her leadership and dedication.
Navigating Challenges and Embracing Change
Over the years, Zoriana has seen Conscensia grow and adapt. She highlights one of the most significant challenges during her tenure: transitioning to fully remote management during the pandemic. “Staying self-motivated and helping team members and clients maintain trust was crucial.”
“Fortunately, trust is part of Conscensia’s DNA, which allowed us to adapt to a hybrid work model in an efficient way.”
Key Lessons Learned
Reflecting on her career, Zoriana has developed a deep understanding of leadership and adaptability. She emphasizes the importance of open-mindedness and learning to trust her instincts.
“Over time, my accumulated experience transformed into a kind of gut feeling, allowing me to make decisions quickly and confidently. It was empowering to realize I could rely on it,” she notes.
Looking Ahead
As she looks to the future, Zoriana remains committed to contributing to Conscensia’s success.
“Beyond specific tasks and goals, there’s a shared purpose that unites us: to work for victory of Ukraine,” she says. Her focus remains on fostering collaboration and trust while driving the success of projects and teams.
Advice for Younger Specialists
For those just starting a career in IT, Zoriana offers this advice: “Focus on your strengths, embrace challenges, and build trust with your team. Growth comes from the opportunities you seize and the relationships you nurture.”
