Starting the collaboration
How to get started with Conscensia
Finding out if nearshoring is the right choice for your business doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. At Conscensia, we make the process simple and risk-free for you. You get access to customized analytics, insight into candidate profiles and a fully transparent process that you can stop at any time – at no cost. We take all the risk because we believe our model and experience will convince you.
How long you should expect the process to take can vary greatly. From our first meeting to your ideal IT specialist starting with you. Most processes take between 6 and 10 weeks, but in special cases where requirements are atypical and unique, it can take up to 14 weeks. Here you can see all the steps that take you from initial clarification all the way to onboarding your new colleague. Sometimes all steps are run through, and in other cases several are combined to compress the process:
01/
Initial clarification – are nearshore teams the best for you?

We begin with a no-obligation conversation to assess whether your company is suitable for nearshoring. Here, we discuss the critical factors and your needs, to ensure there is a good match.
Benefits: Clarity on how a nearshoring solution can help your business.
Your effort: 1-2 hour meeting.
02/
Business analysis – Needs and candidate profiles

It’s important for us to get the right understanding of your company’s wants and needs. We do this with an in-depth interview lasting 1-1.5 hours. We will discuss your company culture, what makes you attractive to our candidates and, not least, which profiles fit your organization and needs – both now and in the long term. We document the insights from our interviews in a so-called Talent Acquisition Profiles (TAP) report, which we use to align and ensure alignment between needs and opportunities in the markets early in the process. In addition, you can use the report as an internal dialog tool, and it can be used when making recommendations to management or board of directors.
Benefits: An insightful report that defines your business needs and strengthens the decision-making process.
Your effort: 1-1.5 hour meeting.
03/
Business case – What can nearshoring do for your finances?

Using our custom-designed tool, we map out the wage differences and cost savings that arise from using a nearshoring solution. In just one hour, together we can create an analysis that documents the business case and financial benefits behind your decision.
Benefits: A fact-based and clear understanding of whether the financial benefits of nearshoring exist.
Your effort: 1 hour meeting where you verify input for calculations.
04/
Contract – Proceed on your terms

In the next step of the process, we present our commercial terms. This gives you the opportunity to consider these very early in the process and not enter into an agreement if you do not find the terms attractive. However, we are pragmatic and solution-oriented and will always find a good and constructive solution to any bumps in the road. Invoicing only begins the moment you have found and hired the right candidate for your company. All activities prior to this point are free of charge.
Benefits: Peace of mind and full transparency before you take the next step.
Your effort: Meeting to review the contract.
05/
Initial screening – The first candidates

Using the TAP report as a starting point, we start finding potential candidates that fit your exact needs. After one to two weeks, we’ll send you the first CV’s and you can give us feedback on whether we hit the mark.
Benefits: Quick access to qualified candidates carefully selected for you.
Your effort: None.
06/
Deeper screening and tests

The best candidates go through a thorough screening and various tests. We prepare written presentations and together we decide who goes further in the process.
Benefits: A shortlist of strong candidates that match both professionally and personally.
Your effort: 1/2 hour to review the shortlist and provide feedback to Conscensia.
07/
Your interview with the candidate

Now it’s time for you to meet the candidate. It can take place both in person or online. Here you assess the professional qualifications and whether there is personal chemistry. We help facilitate the meeting and ensure a smooth process.
Benefits: A personalized experience of whether the candidate is right for you.
Your effort: Online meetings with relevant candidates.
08/
Entering into an agreement with the candidate

Once you have found your new employee, you will negotiate salary and terms with guidance from Conscensia, who have the necessary local knowledge. We also make sure that everything from contracts to practical matters such as work equipment and well-being are in place.
Benefits: A specialist hand-picked for your specific task.
Your effort: 1-2 hours to negotiate with the candidate. Conscensia advises.
09/
Onboarding – You new colleague is ready

We adapt the onboarding to your company’s process and make sure that both the newly hired employee and your other colleagues are prepared for the collaboration. These include our Cultural Intelligence courses, which ensure a good start for all parties. Your company’s participation is essential to onboard the new employee quickly and efficiently. Often the specialist will visit the company in Denmark.
Outcome: A smooth transition and effective collaboration from day one.
Your effort: Onboarding is planned and executed by you and is recommended to be a high priority. This will provide the basis for good integration.
10/
Daily life – Focus on wellbeing and retention

We will continuously support both you and your new employee with regular meetings and various ad hoc tasks. Whether it’s monthly performance meetings, annual status updates or something else, we customize the effort to your needs.
Benefits: Optimal well-being and retention of your new colleague.
Your effort: You have the day-to-day management of the team and prioritisation of tasks. Conscensia is your partner and local HR.
